Marche Adonis Flyer – Marché Adonis is a food retailer operating in the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario. The company is based in Montreal, Quebec. In 2011, Metro Inc. acquired a majority stake (55.5%) (CAD $ 153.8 million) in Marche Adonis. Adonis was founded in 1979 by brothers Elie and Jamil Cheaib Lebanese. Inspired by their roots in the Middle East and the idea of bringing their culture to a new world, Cheaib brothers and their friend Georges trading Ghrayeb developed the idea of the typical food of the Middle East to North America.

In 1984, the need to expand their original shopping and to increase the size of the company quickly became synonymous with success and the fact that the communities of the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern and Montreal had become very large. To better serve customers, the team had to focus on a more strategic service larger areas of the community, which led to the opening in l’Acadie Boulevard. And two new stores in 2003. One in Sauve Street and the other on the western island of des Sources Boulevard.
